Strenneth is a family run guest house set in unspoiled countryside. A 17th C. Grade 2 listed building, fully renovated with a single storey courtyard bedroom wing and self catering cottages, all with ample and secure parking. Our 1 and 2 bedroom holiday cottages are good value, well presented equipped and always very popular. The house is surrounded by the ever changing Norfolk countryside with local Pubs and a variety of interesting local walks and cycle routes to suit the relaxed or most inquisitive. Pets are welcomed. Strenneth makes an ideal touring base to explore East Anglia. Close to Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit, Diss, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Gardens and equidistant between Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. Of historical importance the house sits on the perimeter of Fersfield Airfield, which is disused. During the Second World War this was a top secret airfield and is famed for Project Aphrodite and Project Anvil. Joseph Patrick Kennedy who was the elder brother of President John F. Kennedy was stationed at Fersfield when he lost his life when his very special plane exploded over the Suffolk Coast whilst on a mission to bomb a V3 Rocket Site in France.
